By The inquiry into the Biden family’s business activities is intensifying within the House, as Republicans diligently uncover troubling patterns of conduct.
Representative James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky and chairman of the House Oversight Committee leading this investigation, disclosed emerging evidence from the probe in a recent interview on “Mornings with Maria.”
“We’ve now identified a clear pattern where Joe Biden was in communication with every individual who funneled millions into his family’s accounts. It appears they were capitalizing on the Biden name, rather than engaging in legitimate business,” asserted Comer.
Comer condemned the misleading narratives about the Bidens’ business ventures, saying, “Claims that Hunter and Jim Biden were running an energy company are patently false. What they’ve operated is a scheme for peddling influence, nothing more.”
In a recent move, Biden announced over 500 new sanctions against Russia in response to Putin’s aggression in Ukraine. However, revelations have surfaced that two Russian oligarchs with connections to Hunter Biden, Yelena Baturina and Vladimir Yevtushenkov, were notably omitted from these sanctions.
In August, evidence was presented by the committee showing Baturina, widow of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, transferring $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a firm associated with Hunter Biden, as confirmed by his business partner Devon Archer.
“This exemption from sanctions seems to be a quid pro quo for the millions the Biden family received from Russian figures,” Comer remarked.
Highlighting the committee’s evidence of substantial financial transactions from a “dubious Russian figure,” Comer expressed grave concerns over the lack of sanctions against these particular oligarchs. He emphasized the Bidens’ failure to explain the services provided in exchange for these payments.
“We’re uncovering daily more instances of the Bidens receiving over $20 million from global adversaries,” Comer emphasized.
The House Oversight leader also scrutinized the Biden family’s alleged financial ties to China, America’s primary rival. “It’s unprecedented hypocrisy. The disparity between the Bidens’ public posturing and their private profiteering from the Chinese Communist Party is stark,” he asserted.
Comer pointed out the significant implications of the Bidens’ deals with China. “They were poised to facilitate China’s Belt and Road Initiative here, threatening our energy sector, manufacturing, and even our farmland,” he stated.
As the investigation progresses, Comer accused the intelligence community of actively concealing the Biden family’s past business dealings.
Expressing his distrust in the country’s intelligence agencies, Comer lamented the apparent impunity with which the Bidens have operated. “Despite years of investigations by the FBI, DOJ, IRS, and other agencies, the truth about the Bidens’ questionable financial practices remains obscured,” he stated.
Concluding his remarks, Comer affirmed his commitment to transparency. “My goal is to bring the truth to the American people, a truth that has been consistently withheld by mainstream media and government entities,” he declared.
