With the stroke of a pen, Landry signed Senate Bill 1, endorsed by the NRA, into law, granting eligible individuals aged 18 and above the right to carry concealed handguns sans permit.
State Senator Blake Miguez, the primary architect of SB 1, echoed Landry’s sentiments, affirming, “Today, Louisiana reaffirms its steadfast allegiance to the Second Amendment by enacting Constitutional Carry—a testament to the absolute right of law-abiding citizens to bear arms.
