This baseless assertion underscores the Democrats’ relentless adherence to the discredited narrative of Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election—a narrative thoroughly debunked by Special Counsel John Durham.
Durham’s exhaustive investigation unequivocally found no evidence of Russian interference in the election, and sharply criticized the FBI’s unwarranted and extensive probe based on unsubstantiated intelligence. Despite this, Trump has been vindicated on his Truth Social platform, declaring the Russia probe as the “crime of the century” and a disproven “Democrat Hoax.” Yet, despite the lack of evidence, Democrat politicians like Slotkin and California Rep. Adam Schiff continue to peddle the false story of Trump’s collusion with Russia.
Slotkin, fearmongering about the fate of Ukraine in the event of Trump’s re-election, made an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to spread her baseless predictions. She alarmingly suggested that Trump’s victory would result in Putin dominating Ukraine, a claim made without any factual basis.
Slotkin’s rhetoric is emblematic of the Democrats’ strategy of using international affairs to stoke unwarranted fear and manipulate public opinion. Her comments also include unfounded criticism of Republicans who have shown prudence in not supporting unchecked aid to Ukraine.
The Senate’s recent approval of a $95 billion foreign aid package, which faces opposition in the GOP-controlled House, is another example of the Democrats’ push for excessive international spending. Slotkin attempted to justify this by presenting a false dichotomy, suggesting that not supporting Ukraine now would lead to greater costs for the U.S. in the future, both financially and in terms of human lives. This tactic, however, fails to acknowledge the valid concerns about the lack of accountability and strategic clarity in such foreign engagements.
